The mission of Medical Program in the Arizona Department of
Corrections (ADC) is to provide quality medical care and services to
the incarcerated offender population.
All the health care programs have passed accreditation standards set
by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care and are
currently accredited. The Arizona Department of Corrections Medical
Services maintains a high standard of professionalism and quality
health care throughout all of our institutions.
A career in correctional medicine is challenging and professionally
rewarding. Full and part time positions are available at various
prison complexes statewide. A current unrestricted Arizona license
(or certification) is required for physicians, nurse practitioners,
physician assistants, and radiology technicians.
The Arizona Department of Corrections offers a rewarding and
interesting career opportunity in several type of positions:

- mid level providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants)
- laboratory technicians
- radiology technicians
The Department offers a comprehensive benefits
package, including paid malpractice insurance, vacations, holidays,

stipend in addition to the base salary.
