Media and
Public Relations Office
Media and Public
Relations conducts the internal and external communication
functions of the Arizona Department of Corrections. The
Media Relations Administrator and Public Information Officer
act as spokespersons for the Department, disseminating
information to the media and planning media appearances by
the Director and other Department employees. Please

Legislative Affairs
Legislative Affairs
staff coordinates and prepares Department legislation;
monitors all legislative issues that impact the Department;
establishes and maintains legislative contacts on the
Department’s behalf, and investigates and responds to
legislative inquiries.

Legal Services
The Legal Services/Discovery Unit works with the DOA Risk
Management Division, the Attorney General's office, and
contract attorneys. It advises the Department on liability
issues; reviews all settlement proposals for lawsuits filed
against the Department; reviews and analyzes proposed
written directives for compliance with legal requirements;
arranges staff and initiate depositions; provides legal
advice on month disciplinary and grievance appeals; and
oversees the Inmate Grievance and Discipline Hearing
Officers.

Victim Services
The
Office of Victim Services provides victim focused and
victim-friendly services to crime victims and survivors, and
Restorative Justice opportunities for offenders to be
involved in victim-focused activities that will help them
understand the impact of their criminal conduct on crime
victims The office also provides victim services to ADC
staff who are victims of crime. Email inquiries

Constituent Services

Inmate Family and Friends LiaisonThe Inmate Family and
Friends Liaison of ADC offers a standard process for
receiving, reviewing and responding to complaints from the
public concerning inmate related issues. A guidebook is
provided to the family and friends of inmates to help answer
questions that may arise. Issues discussed in this guidebook
are provided as a general guidance.

Labor Relations
Labor Relations provides a
bridge between the Director, labor organizations and
employees. Labor Relations works toward providing employees
