ADC participates in 11th Annual Indian Nations
The Arizona Department of Corrections recently took advantage of an opportunity to recruit Native American Arizonans, and gain visibility with legislators, at the same time. Tuesday, January 17th, was the 11th Annual Indian Nations and Tribes Legislative Day. The event was held on the capital lawn, and several exhibitors participated including the Ak-Chin Indian Community, Arizona Department of Tourism and Arizona Army National Guard.
ADC officers staffed a recruitment booth and participated in a Homeland Security Workshop. "The RUSH (Recruitment Unit for Selection and Hiring) staff performed very professionally, and collected information from several possible recruits throughout the day," ADC's Intergovernmental Liaison David Cluff said. "Also, we had comments from several senators that ADC is a high priority for them this year." Anyone interested in applying for employment with the Arizona Department of Corrections can contact a recruiter at (602)542-7572 or (480)962-4647. |
