As part of Public Service Recognition Week, which is celebrated May 1-7, the
Arizona Department of Corrections hosted an Appreciation Day barbecue for
Central Office employees during lunch hours on May 4. The event, held in
the courtyard between 1601 and 1645 W. Jefferson in Phoenix, featured a
complimentary western style barbecue, music, a salsa contest and door prizes.
The event was paid for by donations from administrators and executive staff.
