ADC Washes Cars for Phoenix Police Officer
In five hours, Arizona Department of Corrections staff raised more than $2,800 at Paradise and Typhoon carwashes in Phoenix with proceeds going to the Uribe family. "It feels good to do something that will benefit a fellow law enforcement colleague. It gives us a great feeling of compassion and of being united in a good cause,” said Correctional Officer Roger Arnott, whose dad and stepfather worked for the Phoenix Police Department, as well as an aunt who still works for the police agency. In addition to the carwash fundraiser, the Department is conducting a statewide collection drive at each of its 10 prisons and other office locations. |
