SROD David Cluff Retires

Director Dora Schriro presents former Southern Region Operations Director David Cluff with a plaque containing all of the badges he has earned throughout his ADC career. The presentation took place at Mr. Cluff’s retirement party, which was held at the Coolidge Elkes Lodge on July 30.

After a distinguished, 27-year career, Southern Region Operations Director David Cluff of the Arizona Department of Corrections has retired.

As an ADC employee, Cluff’s career steadily progressed. He began his career in 1978 as a Correctional Officer at Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence. Since then, he promoted through the ranks, holding every position in the agency’s security series and various administrative jobs, which included stints as the warden at Winslow and Florence. 

Cluff reached the apex of his career in 2003 when Director Dora Schriro promoted him to SROD.
