Former Eyman Officer Killed Former Correctional Officer Timothy Graham,30, was killed on the evening of Wednesday, August 10, 2005 in Tucson.
Graham, a Pima County Sheriff's Deputy, was responding to call of a deranged man near the Circle K at Ajo Highway and Kinney Road. The Officer and the man were involved in an altercation, which led them into traffic. An on-coming truck killed Graham, the suspect and a Good Samaritan, Dawud Abusida ,56, a taxi-cab driver who came to the Officer’s aid. Before joining the Pima County Sheriff's Office, Graham was an exemplary officer at the Arizona State Prison Complex-Eyman from 1999 to 2002. CO II Ross Bishop, who worked with Graham at the Rynning Unit, said, “He was extremely motivated and a really hard worker who showed up everyday. The kind of person who would do anything to help you.” Deputy Timothy Graham is survived by his wife Sherry, two step-sons and his mother, Ms. Judy Graham. The Arizona Department of Corrections and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office have suffered a tremendous loss. All services for Timothy Graham will be held at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 215 S. Craycroft Road. The viewing will be held Monday, August 15 from 5 to 10 pm. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, August 16 at 11 am.
