Juvenile Department of Corrections Thanks ADC Staff Michael Branham, director of Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections, wrote a letter to Dora Schriro thanking ADC staff for helping Eagle Point Juvenile Detention Facility during its two-day power outage. On July 24, a microburst struck down dozens of Arizona Public Service power poles, 13 of them directly supplied power to Lewis Prison and the Eagle Point Juvenile Detention facility on highway 85. The damage left both institutions without power. During that period, staff at Lewis worked tirelessly to restore power and manage the inmate population. |
