Special Investigator Graduates ALEA
Director Dora Schriro presented Special Investigator Fernando Rios-Mata his peace officer badge during the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy Graduation Ceremony on June 3. Rios-Mata, a former parole officer, graduated alongside cadets from Phoenix Police, Department of Public Safety and other local law enforcement agencies. He was one of 27 graduates who completed the academy, which began on February 14. "I had to cancel my Valentine's Day plans with my wife but it was well worth it," said Rios-Mata. "I am excited about the promotion, and the opportunities that lie ahead." Rios-Mata is assigned to the Special Operations Unit. |
