Subject: 2005 State Employees Charitable Campaign (SECC)

Dear ADC Employee:

Last year the Arizona Department of Corrections team raised $471,529 for the State Employees Charitable Campaign (SECC). Working tirelessly together, your generosity and spirit have touched and transformed thousands of lives in Arizona.

The SECC supports an impressive list of social service and advocacy organizations in Arizona. These agencies are here to serve our youth, families in need, crime victims, and the elderly. They include the Boys and Girls Scouts, Parents of Murdered Children, the Red Cross, and Catholic Social Services.

Whenever we have reached out to the SECC, its agencies have served us well. Last month, the Red Cross served hot meals to ADC staff during the power outage at ASPC‑Lewis. The Army Reserve Components Emergency Relief Fund routinely responds to our officers who are Arizona Guardsmen and Reservist families, ensuring the rent and utilities are paid and that food and other critical expenses are addressed.

Coming together and, giving to the 2005 SECC campaign is an opportunity for us to help our co‑workers and colleagues in need.

Soon your SECC coordinator will approach you to ask for a donation. I hope you will give as best you can. It is important that everyone does. Whether you give a one‑time gift or contribute each pay period, your contribution counts.
