Central Office Operations: Supervision of Central Office administrative staff who provide clerical support to Program Managers and their staff.

Medical Records Program: Includes tracking, correspondence and legal inquiry, prisoner grievance coordination and response; facilitates records transition to community upon prisoner release for continuity of care. Ensures medical licensure compliance for our health care professionals. The Medical Records Program assists with statistical data collection for the Division, which provides valuable information for improving systems. Health Education is a program that is essential in a correctional environment to enhance prevention among inmates, reduce health care costs, and improve outcomes.

The Arizona Department of Corrections began a Health Education program in 1995. The Health Education program specializes in the development, implementation and evaluation of education curriculums, interventions, and materials such as the Inmate Information Sheets (IIS), a series of health education handouts specifically developed to address special educational needs of offenders.

Staff Training facilitates professional training, seminars and educational resources available in the health care field. The Professional Resources area publishes a quarterly Inmate Health Services Newsletter which shares pertinent information, acknowledges staff achievements, and keeps them up-to-date on professional training opportunities.
