Contract Beds Bureau

General - Information

Purpose - The Contract Beds Bureau was established to closely monitor, evaluate and support private prisons under contract with the Arizona Department of Corrections.  This Bureau oversees both in state and out of state (provisional) contracted facilities.  All contract facilities are closely monitored to ensure that they are managed in accordance with applicable Arizona Revised Statutes, ADC policies and procedures, the ADC Strategic Plan, and that the vendor is in compliance with the provisions of the contract.
