‘Howler’ and ‘Big Red’ visit ASPC-Florence
FLORENCE, Ariz. - Two
Arizona sports mascots visited the Arizona State Prison Complex-Florence
today for a fundraising event in support of the 100 Club, a charity that
provides financial assistance to families of law enforcement officers
and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the
line-of-duty.
Howler, the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team mascot, and ‘Big Red’, the Arizona Cardinals football team mascot, attended a barbecue with ASPC-Florence employees. The event was held at the ‘Warden’s House’. This event helped raise almost $500 for the 100 Club of Arizona. The event helped ‘kick-off’ the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC), an annual fundraising effort, which raises money for hundreds of charitable organizations helping state employees, their families and one out of three Arizonans.
