Tucson inmates cause disturbance, no officers injured
Tucson, Ariz.- At approximately 6 p.m. today inmates at ASPC-Tucson Santa Rita Tent Unit started a disturbance. The fight was between Mexican American and Mexican National inmates. Weapons were used, and 20 inmates sustained injuries. Four inmates have been transported off site for medical treatment, while the rest are currently being treated on site. ADC personnel have stopped the fight and are starting the investigation. All staff are accounted for and no injuries were reported at this time. The Tucson complex will be locked down until further notice. This weekend all visitations throughout the complex have been cancelled.
