Cop On Top

On March 27, staff from the ASPC-Tucson and COTA joined other law enforcement agencies in a fundraising event for the Law Enforcement Torch Run, benefiting Special Olympics Arizona. Officers from ADC, DPS and Tucson PD climbed into a scissor lift at a Safeway store in Tucson and were raised into the air to solicit donations from shoppers.

Sgt. Kevin Luckenbill, CO II Maggie Sammons and AA III Daniel Hallahan from ASPC-Tucson, along with Sgt. Alfred Martinez from COTA helped raise $2,000 for SOA and the LETR. Similar events were also held around Arizona in Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria and Prescott Valley.
