ADC is top LETR donor
November 15, 2011
The Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC) is again named the top Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) donor. In 2011, ADC staff participated in a number of fundraising events and, as an agency, raised $127,062.58 for the LETR and Special Olympics Arizona. That is more than double the amount donated in 2010 and for the third time in the past four years; the ADC has been the top donating state agency to the LETR.
In three separate award ceremonies around the state, seven Arizona state prisons were recognized for their contributions, raising thousands of dollars through events like the Polar Plunge, Cop on Top, Fire Truck Pulls, staff donations, Tip A Cop, inmate food sales and participation in the Law Enforcement Torch Runs.
Since ADC has been contributing to the LETR, the department has raised more than one million dollars
