Douglas COs Raise Victims' Rights Week Donations
Two Correctional Officers from ASPC-Douglas have been busy in their spare time raising money from local businesses in honor of Victims' Rights Week 2006 (April 23-29). COIII Raymond Batey and COIII Ruth Sanchez have collected $650 in donations on behalf of Parents of Murdered Children. Businesses participating were Southeast Arizona Medical Center ($500), Thomas Home Furnishings ($100), and Border Mart ($50.00). "I am very proud of the staff involved as they are going above and beyond to make this Flagship shine," Douglas Warden Shelly Sonberg said. "I am also proud of the members of the community that have given so generously." |
